He has continued to improve but his defense is his weakness imho. A 5'9" guard has trouble when guarding a 6'3 guard who can post him up.

his defense actually maybe his best quality as often times last year Stringer checked the other teams best Guard, Henderson last year. He is very quick and strong, and because he stays so low to the ground already he uses it as an advantage. Yes if basketball was just one on one and Stringer had no help whatsoever then yes he would be in trouble in the post but if an opposing guard tried to post up he would simply full front and have help weak side to prevent the lob problem solved.

It's absolutely amazing how much stringer developed under CJJ. He was a non factor under Trent, then last year CJJ gameplans and runs plays to get him open looks.

He should be a big piece of the puzzle this season.

His relentless effort on EVERY play is what makes him so special. I can't think of a single LSU baller in the past decade who played harder than Stringer. Dude's a warrior!
(Hickey, coincidentally, may be the closest comparison imo)
