Mike Clegg is a dumbass

not sure if he is, but he may have violated ethics laws in LA as a lawyer, if he is CW's lawyer and used his name to complain about parking..if he was my lawyer, I would not be too happy, fine if you want to be quoted, but why use client's name-does that make you more important? and arent client names confidential....I see he went to Tulane to law school so maybe that is the issue

We have plenty of people at our tailgate that buy tickets the day of the game, or are meeting people out there with tickets. Hell, I left my tickets at home for the Auburn game on accident and my wife brought them out there when she came to meet us later on.

Clearly LSU has never had a football game at 2:30 before

I agree. I came off a side street between Highland and Burbank and attempted a left turn at on Burbank at a green light, only to be waved off with a flashlight from a BRPD on the other side of the intersection. Was heading down Burbank to turn onto left on Nicholson, only to be stopped by a barricade and directed on Gourrier back toward Parker. Turned down Parker to try a left on Burbank again, only to be told by one of BRPD's finest working the light that it would 30 minutes before I could turn left on Burbank.

I politely asked her to please fix the system. She assured me the system worked fine for them and there are no traffic issues. She also informed me that the issue was with people coming off side streets and that the parking areas received priority.

So the real problem isn't the system, it's all you people parking on side streets.

I just learned that some of my family members left Metairie at 9:30am with a parking pass by Lockett Hall and they missed the kickoff due to the traffic...

be ready for more empty seats. how many tickets are sold on campus? If I have a couple of extra tickets to sell, I sure as hell am not walking off campus outside of your "true fan perimeter" to sell them. Those seats will not be used.

We left Lafayette at 10 and missed kickoff. Traffic was at a standstill as soon as we got off the Basin Bridge

I left Metairie at 9:30 as well, I was at my tailgate for 11, and that included a pit sto for shots along the way.

I don't understand why I can get to campus so easily, yet everyone else has problems

Another fun thing about the cops - As I was just sitting in the mess on River Road, I'd keep seeing these motorcycle cops (One time BRPD, probably 2 times EBRSO) come riding down the road towards me, going away from campus and then about 5 minutes later they'd be riding back towards campus with their lights on with an SUV or some other car behind them with their flashers on...

So if you know cops, or someone important, then don't worry. They'll come get you and escort you to your spot.

its probably moreso that I don't put myself in postitions where there are no alternate routes (river rd, nicholson etc) than jetpacks

well, Mr. Helper, why don't you tell us what route you took and where you park...you seem to leave out those major details.

Coming from Metairie, most people take Hwy 30 from Gonzales, or exit College, Acadian or Dalrymple off of I-10...

Probably because you and I are very versed with campus, the ideal routes into and out of the area, and any recent modifications to parking.

For someone that comes to campus (who may be an Alum) but 4-5 times a year for the SEC football games, they are going to take I-10 to Acadian.

They really need to start addressing the traffic issues into campus further from campus and not at the Highland/Dalrymple interchange.

Nicholson should be 4 lanes into campus from the Bridge south. The left light at Terrace/Nicholson should be off and directing all traffic towards campus. Burbank should be 3 lanes into campus, same with Acadian. I've never parked in the Levee Lots, but it sounds like you are free to park whereever in there. It needs to be managed by a crew telling you exactly where to park so they can fit the maximum amount of vehicles into the area.

The new Bookstore/Union Square parking garage needs to be free as well. I'm sure that thing is empty given that they are wanting $40 for it...

exit I-10 at Highland rd, take Highland to Burbank, cruise up Burbank in no time. literally takes 20 minutes to be in the walk ons area from blue bayou

The problem is to get on campus without hassle you turn the EVERY home game into a 12 - 14hr event(I really dread the idea of showing up to Furmin game before noon just to park).

Showing up 2hrs before the game is no longer realistic without a parking/ traffic nightmare. Until this is addressed empty seats will be the norm except for one or two marquee games.

One thing I have to ask.. I was driving to a relatives place off Bightside well after the game and there were cars parked on Nicholson past Brightside. Were these people actually walking to the game from there?? if so HOLY shite!!
