Were you ticketed for more than that one thing?
ETA: it might be a commission rules/regs violation, which is a class 2, and its $100-350 fine...gotta double check though.
Eta 2 yeah my bad I miss spoke originally, its a class 2 fine with $100-350 fine.
Like I said though unless the GW is a complete tool or you acted like one, go get your permit and it will probably be dropped or you will at least only pay on the low end of the spectrum.
