I see some ODB in him as well. The big difference from ODB, though, is that he doesn't use his hands to catch the ball. Still on the fence of whether or not this kid is a DB or WR.

And Tioga is 4A. A bad 4A team.

Just stating an opinion. Nothing on that film says 4.4. He looks like a 4.6 guy with good hips and good wiggle. If he ran a 4.4, he has a lot left in the tank that he's not using on the field. That could be a possibility as it looks like he's not going all out, almost walking into the end zone. Video says he weighs 160, needs 20 pounds minimum as well. Good 6'1" frame could easily add that and still look thin.
ETA: Bottom of video says 6'2" 180. Looks like he added those 20lbs. Shows that he's been working hard, good sign. Like I said, still looks thin even at that 180.

Reminds me of Chris Tolliver out of Rayville with that first gear acceleration.
Tolliver was much faster overall though.

Guy certainly is a touchdown magnet. He certainly showed some acceleration on what I thought was an overthrown go route. Not sure about his 40 speed but he he looks like the fastest guy on the field most of the time.

ASH is pretty bad, so there's not going to be a lot of opportunities to show out. Like I said in the other thread, one game started with two kick off returns for TD by Chark, so the other team went squib the rest of the way. The other coach talked him up a lot.

ASH is currently ranked 48th in 5A, a little better than expected.

The kid runs really great routes and has great hands and knows how to go up and get the ball. If you can do all that you don't have to be a burner to contribute. I've liked this kid (no homo) since he committed. He's a football player not just an athlete playing football.
quote:DJ ran a 4.46 laser at the Dallas NFTC. He ran a 4.2 hand time while we were at the Oklahoma State camp. And he was 176 back in April. Kid can fly bro!

NFTC results
Anyone who can't see this a 4.4 guy needs to get their eyes checked. Once he gets in a college weight program he'll add more mass, build up his stamina and probably get even faster. Right now he looks more like Kenny Bell than O'dell Beckham.

With ball skills like he has, and the WR recruits we may get in this class, Chark will line up on the defensive side of the ball

Impressive highlights! I hope he doesn't get spooked when we add Speedy, Dupre and D'haquille.
