That one wasn't rating for the best overall, it was rating for uniqueness. And I'll admit Washington's harbor tailgate is unique.

I'm glad the myth still lives, but outside of 1 or 2 games a year, I just don't see it. Hoping for something better for the last 3 big home games of the year.

For virginia tech game 07, sat by some VT fans, 30 minutes before kickoff they were bragging about how loud their stadium was. After TGBFTL walked, the VT fans then said, nope yall are louder and we are fricked

IF the opponent is attractive, the weather is optimal and the game remains close... I have little doubt we still have the loudest stadium in the country.

Yeah but the food alone here should make for a guaranteed win. Anyplace else, the food is pretty much interchangeable with another school's tailgating.

I'm a huge defender of people shouldn't leave early. I laugh at the lame arse excuses and quasi tough guy reasons why it's none of my business. However, I didn't get too upset when people were leaving. I stayed but understood why some were leaving. They braved the rain and we had the game on ice.

I completely agree. This is exactly what I was saying yesterday in another thread. There are plenty of times when complaints about fans leaving early are valid IMO. But last weekend wasn't one of those times. I stayed, but I understand why people left.

Well if we only have two big games at home then that's what we get.

NO, NO, NO!!! You are completely wrong. And you obviously suck as a fan... You are supposed to come to every game and stand up and cheer as loud as you can the whole time. If you sit down for 1 minute during the UAB game then you are a POS fan. LSU used to have earthquake level games every week during the good ole days regardless of opponent or score or weather. And everyone stayed the whole game, even in the rain, and sang the Alma Mater afterwards and didn't leave until they turned off the lights. But now, all of the real fans have been priced out and we are a spoiled rotten bunch of soft, quiet little bitches. Now Tiger Stadium only gets loud once or twice a year and only if we still have national title hopes, are playing a top 5 opponent, at night, with perfect weather. Otherwise, we are the worst fans in the country.

There it is...

Right, because other school's fans are just as loud for cupcakes as they are for the big games. And they're just as loud when they are up by 4 touchdowns in the 4th qtr as when they are down by 2 and the opponent has a 3rd and long.
That's right, LSU is completely unique in that our fans seem to get much louder for big games and when the score is close.

I'm looking forward to "it's my ticket I can leave when I want".
Only night SEC game of the year. Keep your candy arse in the stadium. Wear rain gear and have fun.

I try not to waste my mental energy on getting upset with those Cheesers that do leave during the game, but frick em all. Just makes LSU look bad.

The early departers don't care though. They're all about themselves and don't really have any strong connection or love for the school.

I live four and half hours away from Baton Rouge and I'm not leaving until it's 00:00 on the ad filled scoreboard. If it's too late after the game for you, stay in a hotel and go home Sunday. If I get sleepy on the way back, I'll pull into a rest stop for a bit. If Ms.Braveheart can't handle the schedule, then she stays home because for those few nights a year, L.S.U. football is the priority. Nothing else.

Seahawk fans claim to be the loudest fans in the world, but how much louder are they than Tiger Stadium? How can 67,000 people be louder than 92,000?
