that is what 4 pellet buck looks like going over someone when the shooter did not aim the shotgun

Bleeding Purple has posted some excellent points.

The problem with lasers, for most people, is that they don't know how to quickly acquire a sight picture with "iron sights," and so they use the laser as a crutch.

These folks never become competent with "iron sights," and find themselves up the proverbial creek when (a) the battery dies, or (b) they have to deal with an assailant who is wearing a bright red (or green, if you picked a green laser) shirt in bright daylight. Standing around looking for a "dot" on the attacker is a good way to get yourself all killed.

Looks like it could compliment night sights. When I see those sights looking back at me in the dark I feel much better.
