Ah. I ended up with the TDI Premium, with some crazy expensive floor mats and tinted windows.

I was reading your thread and am thinking about the Will Cover method. There are 5 or so VW dealerships in the area so I feel really good about walking away if they don't meet my price. I may try and find a Passat TDI 2013 that they are trying get off the lot.

It appears used cars are the same list price as dealer website... But then they might say 300$ USAA discount. Going to just have to haggle with the scum it looks like

Yeah... But they also give you charts for used cars of what people have bought them for so it gives you a good idea of what you should pay

Think ill use a combo of the two. I work for one of the Britt kids so I can use that as my ace in the hole.

But his number is based on the DC market with much more competition. You prob did overpay, but I'm thinking not too much.

It was...USAA had none in Shreveport or BR FWIW

When I was looking at Cherokees the target price was the same in DC and Shreveport
