Ok guys I plan on boiling some shrimp tonight. I have never boiled peeled shrimp though. Anyone done this and can tell me how much seasoning and how long to boil.

Also I am boiling on my stove.

If they're already peeled, roast them in the oven like this.

Thanks, I will bookmark that recipe (because I will forget it exists, otherwise).

I don't know if I ever had a boil peeled shrimp. Might want to do the above, skewer and grill or sautee in some lemon and butter.

I've boiled them before, but they were pretty large and it had to be done very carefully to avoid overcooking. After the water and spices boiled, I turned off and threw in the shrimp. Removed them as soon as they were close to being done which was quickly. You can add ice to the boiling water and when it's cold, you can dump the shrimp back in for a soak to try and get more flavor, but I'd just as soon oven roast them now.

We are looking for that boiled shrimp flavor. So that recipe doesn't look like it would work for what we are looking for

In the water for about two minutes tops, let sit for two, drain.

How do you do yours? Don't care for radish sauce, so looking for a recipe with some stand alone flavor.

combine the chili sauce, ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco.

How have I never thought to put that in before? Sounds delicious.

I would get my water seasoned up and boiling, drop my shrimp in and turn the heat off and let them soak until they're done.

Depends on what I'm looking to do with them. Sometimes, I just season with S&P especially for a salad, sometimes a bit of Old Bay if I'm looking for the "boiled" flavor. Roasted takes no time at all. Google Ina Garten's roasted shrimp recipe. I follow hers pretty much.

I boil peeled shrimp all the time for salads, do whatever you normally do for shell on shrimp. Dump your shrimp in boiling water, when they come back to a boil take them out.

Dont over think it.......

Watch the time because as she says, they continue to cook a bit when you take them out. It doesn't take long at all. You don't have to season them at all if you don't want to and I've left the olive oil off and put them on non stick foil to roast. I hate cleaning baking sheets. Non stick foil is my friend.

I had a lot so I did some Italian, some spicy, and some just S&P like that recipe; yeah, the plain ones were by far the best.

AGREED on baking sheets... I wish I could just do kabobs in my oven.
