Lots lashing out from Portland fans mad at the new arena namr. For $4.2 million per year the Rose Garden will become the Moda Center. Fans don't like it and I'm seeing lots of tweets like "at least we didn't change our names to the Pelicans"
This rebrand isn't over yet. Louisiana Seafood Arena Seasoned by Zatarains is still a possibility.

Please no. If you think the nation has laughed real hard at the team's nickname (don't agree with the nation on this of course), just wait unit they select this for the name of the arena
Why can't we give naming rights to more national companies?

Actually, Zatarains is pretty big. But I want announcers to to say the entire thing every time they mention it. Boss .

I still see us getting insulted a lot. For example, in the comments on the TMZ website about Gia's suicide, one person said that she probably didn't want to be with a guy who was a Pelican. "You don't see WAGs of Lakers players committing suicide."

I was actually intending that to mean we could get a bad arena name like Portland, only I didn't expect most of the posters to have warmed to the idea. I still think it's a bad name with one too many sponsors attached to it.
