Has anyone done any research into ONCY? Another biotech that seems to have hit it's floor with room to grow with some upcoming catalysts.

Not until you mentioned it. That looks like Mr. Toad's wild ride - it was $1.00 in mid November, then $4.60 or so in February, and now it's about $2.75 - it was 2 1/4 a little over a month ago.

Seeking Alpha and Motley Fool are talking it up, so there may be something there. I know their forte is cancer, so do they have something that is close to breaking?

There is an expecation they're going to go from -$0.04 to -$0.02 per share, which is decent improvement, although still losing money.

It went the other way, a loss of -$.06/share for the second quarter and -$.12/share for the first six months.

INO is down about 45% from its peak on Tuesday and about 12% in after-hours trading today after falling almost 10% during the day today.

This is probably a dumb question, but what did INO do back in 2000-2001? Their share price peaked close to $50. Seems like they've been around a while - did they recapitalize/restrategize at some point?

That drop the other day must have been based on leaked details of the earnings report.

I wish I could have gone about 2000 shares at 1.80 today - it would have been a good buy.
Does that mean it's even a better buy this morning at $1.59?

ETA: make that $1.55.

Maybe. The stock is bottoming out for some reason. The earnings report must have been leaked, which started the downturn.

Having seen it now, in the opposite direction of projections (WHAT? Projections were wrong? Umpossible! ), I'm glad I didn't buy at 1.80 - but I still think it gets back to $2 in 6 months.

You may be right. But it's definitely a speculative buy.

They are burning through the cash they raised with their last stock issuance. If they can't start selling their limited array of products for a profit soon, they will have to raise more cash. More debt is probably out of the question so they will have to issue more stock which will dilute their outstanding shares even more.

If you are saying $2 in six months, I going to take the "under."

None of what you said goes against traditional wisdom. They're definitely bleeding money. I just don't have the cushion to gamble more than 1k to 2k shares.

If they drop to a dollar and a quarter, maybe I'll look at it again.

Still doing additional research on ONCY myself, but it looks like they have six clinical trials upcoming, so quite a bit of catalysts for price movement.

It also looks like their main product, REOLYSIN, has fared well in Phase II clinical trials.
