because the number 1 pick was a qb right? good try

Alex Smith and David Carr both went 1st overall in their drafts.

Other QBs from smaller conferences that went high in the draft:

Big Ben went 11th
Leftwich 7th
Culpepper 11th
McNair 3rd
Dilfer 6th

and i guess you think flacco is an elite qb also?

oh wait he won a superbowl.. he must be! They should make a monument with the most elite qbs in nfl history.. flacco, dilfer, and brad johnson! all have won superbowls and still even after that you could probably find 3-4 teams that would take them as their qb right now.

Baltimore has decided he is elite and that's all that matters.

Again, I don't exactly see what your point is. You said his competition sucked but level of competition doesn't really matter that much at the end of the day when it comes to getting drafted. Sure it helps but its no draft stock killer if you hit all the measurables.

Yardage-wise, UL played 3 teams whose defense ranked top 10 nationally (UF/UConn/Rutgers).

Let's be honest though, only one of those teams has a true top ten defense.

Granted, Bridgewater has a bright future and all, but UConn and Rutgers aren't who I think of when I think of elite talented defenses.

Anyways, as you were.

Lol. I'll take stats over whatever retarded logic determines your idea of a top 10 defense

Stats are meaningless when used outside of context. You are using them outside of context.

Do you really truly believe that both UConn and Rutgers had two of the top 10 best defenses in college football last season? Really? Just a yes or no will suffice.

How does something like this work? Does he pay a monthly premium or does the insurance company get a percentage of his first contract?

I'm pretty critical of college QBs. I never thought any of the USC QBs were any good. But TB looks the part. It all depends on what's between his ears if he will make it in the NFL.
