We are planning on tailgating for the LSU/TCU game. We live in the metroplex but have never tailgated at Jerry's World. Can those of you who have been before impart some tailgating advise? Best lots. How's it different from the on campus experience?

Not quite the same as lsu tailgating. There is no grass it's pretty much just a bunch of huge parking lots with minimal shade so it gets pretty hot. I was 21 last time I went for the Oregon game and just remember walking around in the parking lots with my rolling ice chest in a hot, drunken haze and chatting with all the fans who actually had legit tailgates set up

I think the lots opened @ 2, can only have a grill on the grass.

It is a pretty sad tailgating venue. Too many rules and no shade in a large parking lot with over 100 degree heat coming off the asphalt. I would recommend finding a bar.

The LSU Alumni Dallas Chapter is throwing a tailgate at a local Bar and Grill...we went to it for the Oregon game and its was definitely worth it...check out their wedsite.

Good tips. Just found out we might be visiting relatives in Dallas that weekend. In found standing room only tickets for $55. How is standing in the west end sound? Never been there.

Buy lot 14 from ticket master, it's a RV and car lot that is open all day.

Was the hottest tailgating I have ever done. Finally just went to the stadium early to get cooled off.

Went to the Oregon game and tailgating was hotter than two foxes fornicating in a forest fire.
I do remember seeing parking lots that had electrical power run underground with pop up outlet plug-ins on stakes along the sidewalk every so many feet. I thought that was smart, and eliminated the need for a generator. Good luck.
