I agree with your appraisal except for one thing which is true of every interviewer/reporter out there. Everybody is a great prospect! I mentioned that to him one day in a NOLA chat and he said something like that he likes to accentuate the positive and people can judge the holes in their games for themselves. I said that I understand and then said, I have a sneaky suspicion it has something to do with "you might have to interview that guy in the future and the last thing you want to have happen is to guy to start talking about your review of him. I guess I can't blame you for that...I would probably do the same thing under the circumstances."

I'm pretty sure we cooled on jones since we already have jacory and took 2 te last year. He's a damn good player just doesn't fit in with the numbers

Apparently according to the 247 article, jones is 6'5, 240... Damn good size for a TE

I would say that Drayton Calhoun looked to be a very similar player to Noil in high school. Great quickness and speed.

In terms of shiftiness, Jakhori Gore was also similar - although he didn't have the straight-ahead speed of Noil.

I'm not questioning his intelligence...I am saying it has been years and years since I saw an LSU player who clearly had problems lining up properly and knowing his assignments on plays. Simple as that.

I would love to jump on T Tolliver, but I always give him a pass for 1 reason....Nooooo, not the Penn State game which I give him a lot of credit for losing with his volleyball hit of the football into a Penn State defender's hands. It was the LSU vs Washington game which I attended in Seattle. LSU had basically 3 plays the entire game......otherwise, Washington outplayed them big time. Jacob Cutrera cut in front of a J Lockett pass and tipped it to himself for a pick 6. TT had two 15 yard passes from Jefferson in the middle of the field and in 2 plays that looked like replays of each other, he spun around and the UW secondary guy wouldn't have gotten him down in touch football because he tackled air. I believe each TD play was about 45 yards with the passes being 15 yards.
