I can understand Kate's reasonings, but Sun I agree dropped the ball on parenting.

And did I miss why they were showing Jin in China going to see the birth of someone else's baby? I feel that was unanswered unless I missed it. I remember seeing Sun and Hurley go to Jin's grave.

Through Episode 11 of Season 5. Not sure how I'm feeling about Season 5 so far. I feel less interested now that they are back on the island and in two different time frames. I also can't get over the fact that Kate and Sun left their children to return to the island, especially Sun. My wife would know to just let me go and take care of our child. I guess once the 6 got off the island and Ben moved it, it just hasn't felt the same.

The tone definitely changes a bit in the later seasons, especially season 6. But things sort of tie together pretty well.

I see where they are trying to go with S5, especially with the idea of possibly changing the future with young Ben. Having said that, do they really want me to believe that Kate and Juliet really wanted to save young Ben? They could have let him die on the table and they all wake up either back on Oceanic 815 or home and I would have felt satisfied with the show.

Finished it over the weekend. I think the finale was good. It wrapped up enough questions to leave me satisfied.

Overall I really enjoyed Seasons 1-4. Seasons 5 and 6 kind of lost me at times and caused me to lose interest from time to time which is the reason it took me so long to finish.

I've read a lot of theories on some of the unanswered questions and thoughts on the finale. What was the general consensus of the board regarding the end? I was hoping Jack would be the one to ultimately kill the man in black, which I guess he did when he kicked him off the cliff. I really liked that Hurley became the protector of the island and Ben became his number 2.

Well, Ben is still a child, and Juliet had lived around him for years, so I'd have a hard time letting a kid die.

The producers clearly wanted "what happened, happened" to be their rule of time travel. So that was never really a possibility.

I loved it and thought it was perfect. The last 10 minutes or so were just absolutely incredible television to me.

Yeah, they kind of shoved that down my throat a lot in Season 6.

And yeah, I thought the end was perfect... aside from Sayid ending up with Shannon.

About how I experienced the show. Absolutely loved it through about season 3, got kinda bored but kept watching at times after that but it still had its moments. Was ok with the way it ended and satisfied enough to be extremely happy with the show as a whole.

That was weird, but I get why they did it. Obviously I wanted some Ecko in there, but they all hated Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and that wasn't happening.

As for the ending, I loved it. I thought it was a great ending to a series that I hatd invested an hour per week of the past 5 years of my life to. I think most gripes about it are stupid, and thought they ended it as best as they could and I was completely satisfied with it all. Really liked the flashes sideways and how that all tied together with them moving on into the afterlife together. The whole church scene was pretty touching.

I'm glad you liked it :)
I was one of the rabid fans wanting the answers to all the questions and theorizing and studying from week to week but as soon as I saw the finale a wave of peace and contentment came over me. I'm verklempt just thinking about it now.
This show just had a way with making you connect with the characters in a way that has never happened before for me.

Ditto about checking out the 15 minute epilogue.

I'm glad I watched it. I may not say it was the best Sci-Fi TV series of all time but it's top 3.
