I see some people calling Ryno overrated or overpaid. He has an elite skill that every team would love. Shooting threes. Is he an elite defender or rebounder? No. But he is an average defender and a decent rebounder. Here is a comparison.

LaMarcus Aldridge has a PER of 19.7, TS%=.537, eFG%=.494, TRB%=13.2, DRtg=107, and a +4.00 efficiency.

Ryno shoots 38% from 3P, PER of 18.3, TPS%=.566, eFG%=.529, TRB%=13.4, DRtg=107, and +15 efficiency.

Aldridge makes around 14+mil and Ryno makes 8mil.

I agree that Ryno is not overrated. He is definitly not overpaid.

But those arent the best of comparisons. They have a completely different style. But I have no problem with Rynos contract and I want him to be a part of this team going forward as I think he can be a very important piece to this roster. Every team needs a deadly 3pt shooter and he is that for us.

I don't think he's overrated but i'm not gonna tell somebody who thinks that that they are wrong. however anyone who says he is overpaid is fricking retarded and should not be allowed to procreate

It might not be the best comparison. But it is a good comparison money wise. And mostly look at the True Rebounding Percentage for people who say he is terrible in that area. Same goes for DRtg. Just saying people who call him terrible in those areas just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

he's def not overpaid. he's paid right in line with his performance. excellent/strange offensive player with major defensive issues

half a max player, half a max salary

I agree. But L.Aldridge isnt a very good defender and rebounder for his posistion. So comparing Ryno to him is basically saying he isnt very good. Ryno is getting paid what hes paid to score the ball and play the best defense he can. We arent expecting him to guard the other teams best player and get 10Rebounds a game. With that said, I still think Rynos price tag is more than fair. But yes I would say LAldrige is slightly overpaid.

But by your debate. Aldridge wouldn't be slightly overpaid. He would be severely overpaid... And Ryno would be a great contract if Aldridge is only "slightly" overpaid, no?

Anderson is probably about 2M/yr underpaid, imo

Portlands offense runs through Aldridge. He is a franchise type player. Dude has one of the best post and midrange games in the league and shoots almost 50% taking an abundance of shots.

Anderson is a great 3rd or 4th option for a team but he's not going to bear the offensive load. We saw how that turned out last year at times when he was forced to be the guy.

Two good players but totally different styles

I don't think he's underrated or overrated

He's just a good catch and shoot guy that's sort of decent in the post and a below average rebounder. That can't defend.

He's paid about what he should be getting paid

chuckie3325 was just under the influence of serious medication when he posted that. I'm sure his opinion will be different once those meds wear off.

I mean theres not a correct answer to this question.

Its a very opinionated question/answer. I think Aldridge is a great player that is slightly overpaid. I think Anderson is a great player that is paid the correct amount. But im saying this because I think Aldridge is a slightly better player all around player.

Too bad Karl isn't still in Denver. Maybe trade Anderson and Lance Thomas for Javale since he didn't even start with Georgie.
