"New is a subjective term."

I have visited tigerdroppings nearly everyday over the last 6 years so I guess I'm new to posting but definitely not new to the content and posters of the various boards.

Since everyone likes pics on this board this photo I took last week from our camp on Grand Isle seems appropriate here.

They are pretty rare in the Mexican ocean, with that being said, folks still do catch them out there. A lot of divers seem to spear them though.

Lots of them in the keys, so not that far away.

Well sir...post more often. It looks as though you have something worthy to contribute.

I've caught one fishing for AJ's before. Same as you, didn't know exactly what it was at the time. Figured it out when we took a look at the "Fish of the GoM" poster at the camp.

I've caught them on the beach. One of the best eating fish there is.

We caught one last year on a charter out of Cancun. We were coming in at almost full throttle, Capt says "Holy shite, would you look at that" as he cuts throttle and spins around. He said they catch one ever couple of years there. Of course they kept the meat from it.
