It's one thing to follow players and like teams bc of them...it's another when you claim they are your favorite teams.
I will always be a Spurs fan first and foremost...but if Ginobili signs a 1-year deal with say the Milwaukee Bucks...then I will wish him nothing but success (which I guess means I want the Bucks to win games...duh) except against the Spurs.

Someone who's a Lebron fan and not a Heat fan will not be upset when he plays bad, but the team wins. If Drew Brees plays like shite but the Saints win I'm thrilled because I'm a Saints fan. It's kinda confusing (even more so than my message-typing on phone in meeting)

I don't think being a fan of bad franchises makes someone a better fan. I've been a Saints fan my whole life, that doesn't make me better than a Steelers fan.
