What do you think about Chase Thomas stepping up as a rookie?

From what I read about him he was supposed to go early 3rd round. His stats seem pretty good (though it was at Stanford) and the talking heads seem to think we got a steal, any thoughts?

I think it is a pipe dream and being projected as a third rounder and going undrafted when you have a solid work ethic and no off field problems doesn't sound too promising to me.
That being said I am always happy to eat crow when it means the saints are doing well.

He's an UDFA, so making the practice squad would be a step up.

Totally agree! He just seems to have good stats, which I understand doesn't always determine what you will do in the pro game, but it should translate to some production right?

I think he's a sleeper to watch. One of those unheralded guys that maybe doesn't possess all the physical tools, but is just a football player.

It's off the charts. He was literally writing a new test while taking the football IQ test because the questions were so inadequate and out dated.
