Can someone tell me something about them? Are they highly sought after? Do they sell high?

Reason I'm asking is a saw a couple of them this weekend and wanted to know if they were worth buying. Probably 2'x2' for $200.

Any info would help TIA

Pretty sure he retired, so I'm sure the value of his work will increase. Other than that, I don't have a clue

$200 each or both? Framed?

Framing alone will cost that. I'd buy if you like em.

One is $200 framed and the other is $125 framed. I like both but didn't know if that was a good price. The one for 200 is of a man and a dog, I think the man is Mike Foster. The other is of some mallards landing.

I like both, but I want to make sure I'm not paying over what they are worth. FWIW the frames are old and crappy. Both are singed

Yeah I second the idea he retired. Buddy of mine's dad used to sell his stuff in his gallery on Ryan Street. There sure was some nice wildlife scenes.

The prints are really nice. I think I'm going to take a chance at it.

da phuck. Man how weird- I hadn't seen this thread and just posted his name in another thread. What are the chances of his name being independently brought up here on the same day in two different threads?

Signed by Elton L could be worth some big bucks one day.

Wife and I went to his studio years ago when we built. I wish he would have had some then for 200. I'm no art collector but that seems like a steal. If you like them, grab both- for sure one.

I appreciate the feedback I'm going back and get them. Thanks everyone

Some are worth more than others. Do you happen to know the titles of the prints? They're not real easy to find.

I have a few of his prints and a couple of the books that he and his wife did. He did a set of 4 smaller prints several years ago, but I only had the $ for 2 of them. I've been looking for the other 2 ever since.

I actually have Mallard Cove. #843 of 950 to be exact. That's one of the series of 4.

If I paid 125 would that be a good deal?

If the frame and matting were good I'd say it's a great deal. I really have no idea of the value of the print itself though. There don't appear to be too many on the open market right now. I would be willing to pay that, but I'm a fan of his work, so I'm a little biased. It all comes down to how much you like it.
