I was able to land Verlander off a friend in a keeper league for Dominic Brown and Belt. He is loaded with pitching and needed bats. Brown is red-hot but he obviously won't keep up this pace. I know I got the better end of the deal without doubt, but the league is freaking out about it. Is this trade worth a veto? I won't veto unless there is collusion but this thing is about to get shot down in a hurry. What say you?

I can see where jimmies would be rustled. Brown and Belt really haven't proven anything yet. Brown has 1 good month under his Belt. Belt really hasn't done anything in his time in the MLB. They certainly can be good but who knows. We are talking the best SP in fantasy here.

Agreed. I'm not going to make a big deal about it when it get's vetoed. I probably wouldn't veto it, but I can see why people would get worked up. I was happy to get Verlander, but I am ok riding out this Brown hot streak as well.

That's a pretty bad trade, especially in a keeper league. I would definitely have my jimmies rustled if I was another owner.

Thanks. I kind of expected it to get shot down. Damn, that would have been a nice score though!

I'm always on the boat of if the 2 parties mutually agreed to a deal, and it's not even close to collusion. I don't care one way or the other. If someone gets trade raped, so be it. They had to agree to the deal. Let them help/ruin/run their team how they please. It's not up to the other league members opinions/emotions.

In a case like this where needs were filled from others' strengths then it works for both parties. Especially if Verlander can only be kept for x amount of years.

And if you can Sell Brown and Belt for Verlander then more power to you.
