Tonight's dessert
Dark Cherries, halved and pitted
Butter
Brown Sugar
Cook until sugar is bubbly and cherries begin to get soft.
Cooked cherries will form a nice sweet flavorful cherry liquid.
Add Brandy and flame to burn away the alcohol. Sadly I discovered my camera won't photograph blue flames.
Serve over vanilla ice cream.
I know classic Cherries Jubilee uses Kirschwasser. We were out and this was good.
If you have kirschwasser, just use it where I used brandy. Otherwise the recipe is the same.
Great way to melt some vanilla ice cream.
