I owed $202 to the state (I filed a 1040 with the feds). I am trying to pay it online by credit card using officialpayments.com.

They ask me Individual Income Tax Payment Type:
-Return Payment
-Bill Payment
-Extension Request Payment
-Extended Tax Declaration payment

I am pretty sure it's not the last two... But I am just unsure. Any help is greatly appreciated

I called it a return payment. You're filing a return and it's not really a "bill".

I doubt it matters, TBH, as long as the money is right.

It's an "income tax return" you are filing, so it is a "return payment"

not being an arse, I went thru the same thing last month

I was all set to do the same last night but when I saw the $26 convenience fee I balked. Mailing my check the old fashioned way today.
