Steve Carell confirmed for Office finale?

Mentioned this in another thread, but thought it deserved it's own.
Plot summary looks like it's going to be Dwight's wedding. Michael Scott would be a pretty shitty friend not to show up Dwight's wedding.

In a conference call with reporters last week, Daniels sort-of-but-not-really shot down speculation about a Carell comeback, saying, “I think Steve felt, and I agree, that the ‘Goodbye, Michael’ episode was his goodbye and he didn’t want to overshadow the ending that all the other characters deserved.” Possible translation: Carell’s return won’t overshadow the ending. And by all accounts, it won’t. According to sources, Carell’s return engagement qualifies as more of a cameo than a full-fledged guest appearance. (It’s unclear if Carell will be joined by his Office soul mate Amy Ryan.)

It would be a major fail on the part of NBC...but that wouldn't be a surprise.

I always thought there was a good chance that he would return.
I know NBC's been denying it, but it could just be a huge surprise. Someone did make a good point that NBC has been lacking in the ratings so much that if he was returning they would be pimping this shite out of it. Not sure I agree though. I think just the fact that their most successful non-reality show since Friends is ending, is enough to draw viewers, that they can afford to keep Scott returning as a surprise.

I saw a video on Twitter where the whole cast was goofing off during the final episode filming, and you could see Carell off to the side.

I get what Carell is saying about not wanting to upstage his co-stars since he already got his episode. That actually makes sense. But at the same time it would obviously be best if he at least appeared in the episode.
