Yeah, I never got the students on break/Finals rationalizations for lack of attendance in any sport.

I think a majority of the students who might be inclinced to attend sporting events still live in and around the Baton Rouge area even when school is out. And using Finals...hmmm, I don't think that stops the true sports fanatic very often.

But hey, even if there are only 7,000 butts in seats, which I think will probably be the number today, that would be good enough for the top 5 Re: average paid attendance for college baseball nationally.

No need to rationalize or apologize for attendance for baseball. We're the best even when we have our usual 3,000 no shows.

That was paid attendance. Radio said number in seats was 7,xxx. Don't remember the exact number.

Looked like it, and definitely affected the actual attendance. I can make it out there today.

Being able to sit in the comfort of your own home and watch virtually all sports is killing attendance... especially at LSU. People leave football games at halftime because they have been tailgating all day and can get home in time to see the second half of the game on TV...and no traffic problems.
