What does everyone see in this guy? Would you draft him?

He has yet to show the assertiveness you'd like from someone with his natural ability. His handle also needs a good deal of work, but he has one of the purest strokes I've ever seen and great athleticism, has also shown the ability to dominate for stretches of the game but will disappear time to time....if he puts it all together he can be a top 5 sg

To answer the question, yes I would if he's BPA at our pick

Only thing he lacks is assertiveness. Has the jumper, has the athleticism, has the length to be a great defender.

It's all mental.

He's sadly out of our apparent draft range.

grabbed a few sg #s from freshman years:
ben mac-16/5/2
harden-17/5/3
westbrook-didnt start 3/1/1. soph yr-12/5/3
wade-too dumb to qualify! tutored to qualify as a soph 17/6/3
klay thompson 12/4/1
ray allen 12/4/1
v carter-7/3/1
joe johnson-16/3
kevin martin-22/6

all this passive/assertive talk is rubbish. those things should be used with upperclassman. replace those words with freshman! i guess he doesnt have noticeable flaws.

Maybe the most upside 2 or 3 in this draft. Already a great defender, something monty would prefer. Shooting is great but will be his game once he learns to off the dribble. Comes off as a knows his place player, coachable and humble.

Ben saying he has never been the kid who was a fighter growing up raises some major red flags with me.

Yes McLemore is the best player in this years draft. Taking a chance on Nerlens Noel is big risk fora team

Did you bother to look for the actual reason? Or did you just saw the word ineligible and ran with it? It's a non-issue.

As a die hard KU fan I have seen him play every game this year.

Bill Self called McLemore his most talented player he has coached in his career. This includes Deron Williams.

LIKES:

Ray Allen like shooter. He can light it up better than any player in this draft. FT's are automatic. Athleticism is off the charts. He glides, and floats like Jordan. Which is what he tries to imitate all the time. #23, tongue out, etc. Team player, great kid, not a thug. Durable. Wasn't hurt much at all.

DISLIKES:

Handling the ball is not his game. He can't create much or just blow by someone consistently. Gets lost in games. Especially on the road. Confidence is the key. If he strokes his first few shots he will be lights out.

2 Guards are rare. You take him if available. I don't think we get the chance...unless we get lucky again.
