And a lot if people say baseball is the most difficult sport. Not the most athletic, but most difficult. It takes unbelievable reflexes and coordination to hit a baseball.

Ask Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player ever, how hard it is to play baseball

Too much potential. Not enough pure baseball ability. But that's how they like em.

You can't possibly think baseball has the best athletes

he didn't say the "best" athletes, he said the most skilled. if you played the sport at a high level you would know this. it takes YEARS to become resonabaly proficient in the skill sets of playing baseball. the eye to hand coordination required to be really good in baseball is something few have. most people can't even foul off an 80 mph fastball much less a 95mph one or a curve ball or a slider, etc. and i also agree with the op when he says baseball is the hardest to make it in the bigs. the nba is tough too but easier.

The good ole 3% rule:
3% of little leaguers play high school ball
3% of high schoolers play college ball
3% of college players play professionally
3% of professional players make it to the show
