Got free tickets. Is it just me or should this thing be held inthe evening. I mean, a wine fest that's at 2?

It's a good time. We went the first or second year, when it was in late April and burned up. Now they made it a little earlier in the month, and it's much nicer.

I think it works well from 2-5pm. I'm sure the idea is that you get a good buzz, and decide that you want to go eat dinner at one of the featured restaurants from the festival.

Yeah that's the point. Instead, you get smashed, decide you're too drunk to function in any sort of establishment, pick up Johnny's and call it a night.

Pace yourself, grasshopper. Last year, we went from there to Superior Steakhouse, and THAT'S where I ended up smashed. I decided it was a good idea to start drinking margaritas.

Wine & Swine in Shreveport is a much better event. Not nearly as many people, but still plenty of delicious food and drink.

When is this? I've tried to google but all I find is Facebook pages for past years.

It's this Sunday. Unfortunately it is sold out. Didn't get tickets myself. Great Raft, new brewery opening in Shreveport is going to be there pouring. Needless to say I am disappointed.
