I had trouble understanding this one. Two outs with a base open and you pitch to the hottest hitter in the country. Making decisions like that, will lose you games. Regardless, I loved it! and I'm sure everyone saw it coming.

Kentucky still had 3 more innings to scratch across 4 runs.

McDonald said on tv telecast that pitcher made a mistake and no way was ball supposed to be over plate.

That it may have been, but why even mess around. Should have just intentionally walked him.

Some coaches hate intentionally walking batters. They would rather throw a few pitches off the strike zone and see if the batter will swing at a bad pitch. He may have intentionally walked him after going 2-0. We put a guy on after a few pitches.

It was an accident. The pitcher missed his 'spot'

Pitching around is harder than intentionally walking a batter. Looked like the pitcher caught too much plate.

I actually thought it was a pretty good pitch. Ball was low and outside and Katz swung knowing that he probably would be intentionally walked if the count got to 2-0.

Decent pitch a little high for the task. The real issue is Katz is on a heater. He could double off a bounced ball at this point.

He missed his spot. Katz went out and yanked it. Most hitters would have grounded out to ss on that pitch. I am glad they were trying to unintentionally walk him
