North Woods Law on TV
Posted by Crawdaddy on 4/4/13 at 7:55 pm00
Sure are a bunch of goofy laws and nosey wardens up there in Maine. Pretty area though.
As nice as it looks I still rather stay out of all that snow. Kind of like the Alaska State Troopers show. Way too damn wet and cold up there as well.

Some of the toughest, "salt of the earth" people in this country. Great place and great people. That being said, I could never live there.
ETA: Referring to the state, I've never seen the tv show.

I love the show. I just hope one day soon a Warden with the name of Thibodaux would tell a hunter in question "You in Maine now BOY"

Great place. Friend of mine who was a bush pilot moved there to fly and loves it. People I have met from Maine and NH have been generally good people.

Eh, depends where you are.
Liberal folks don't bother me. My town is the most liberal in Alaska. People tend to congregate with folks who think like they do anyway, regardless of where they live.

Yeah, Portland is pretty liberal but hell, so is Juneau. I don't know why that kind of stuff bothers many people though, because you can live anywhere and find like minded people to associate with if you dislike the others.
Most cities are "liberal." Most suburbs and rural areas aren't. People dis California but I've met some awesome folks there and you can be there for an extended time and never feel "liberal" influence.
