Jupp rocked Conte and you could tell he knew it by his expression the whole game. I expect Conte to have a better plan next time.

It was kind of surprising that Juve had so much trouble with the high pressure but I was also surprised how much it overwhelmed Toure and Silva last year in the CL.
Bayern seems so well drilled in their high pressure attack.
I think the main problem for Juve is that Vucinic is really the guy they want to play through when pressed (and that they miss so much without him is why they're desperately looking to sign another elite striker for their style.)
Matri really wasn't effective at all in his place as the outlet / playmaker in the center of the field and it seemed to snowball with players not being sure where else to turn. When teams try to take Pirlo out by having 2 mids crowd him, Juve's main attack comes from quick hitting 1-2s played through Vucinic.

Matri was so lazy yesterday, it was shocking. Also, Vidal had an abortion of a game. Bayern basically put Juve's chances in his hands and he flushed it down the toilet. They crowded passing lanes to Pirlo, keeping Vidal wide open for the most part and he squandered chances again and again with horrible passes. Part of that is Matri not really making himself available but Vidal was shockingly bad.
I was surprised that Pogba didn't come on earlier. I would have had him on by halftime.

I pray it's matri's last game in a juve jersey
Hendersonhands you've got a lot of hate for Vidal, he had 2 of the only real chances once vuicinic came in and began linking play late in the game (again blaming worthless Matri). Vidal always plays aggressive and beats on players and yes he should have been carded for his tackle early on Ribbery but that ref was all over the place with calls. I'd say Pirlo and Buffon were off their game and marchisio was non-existent, of those 4 keep players Vidal was the one leaving it all on the field.
It's crazy how both goals "should" have been handled by Buffon and Bayern superbly outplayed Juventus coming from the wings. That's how they played against Celtic, frustrate their opponents and then take advantage when given theirs
I'm hoping juve make the return leg entertaining and spend big on a new striker this summer
