I had two lifted Tacomas in the period that I had the recon. My dad would flip his shite watching me load it. I had those short ramps, but they had a chain that hooked around the tailgate cables so it wouldn't come off.

The ramp was literally at about 40°

Screw that. I have a Can Am 650 and almost flipped it over trying to load it in the back of my truck on short ramps. I will never do that again. That damn thing has to weigh near 800lbs. It get hauled on a trailer now and forever on.

I still do it with a Rancher 4x4 into my F250. Not as bad, but still too much for most people to do.

If there are two sets of ramps next to each other, folding separate long ones, and the 1-piece short folding ones, I'd bed 95% of people grab the longer ones. I just use the short ones because they are easier to set up and easier to tote around

I have to big folding Ramos and load my 500 Suzuki in the bed of the truck. It's safer to haul on a trailer though.

I have a Suzuki Eiger that I put in the back of the Tundra sometimes. Ramps are about 5 feet long so it gets pretty hairy especially on uneven ground. I may or may not have ridden a wheelie into the bed of my truck a few times. Finally broke down and bought a trailer so hopefully I have been spared.

I have a tundra that still has original rear window. How? No idea.

If the Tundra bed was 3 inches longer or my atv was 3 inches shorter I could close the tailgate and a trailer wouldn't be necessary even when I bring the family along.

That was the other reason I got the recon, no trailer needed. Fit perfectly in bed.
