I used to fish this local lake where there was 1 spot you could always catch 15-20 3-5 lb bass in about an hour, every time you went.
I put in at the ramp next to a guy I knew, who also knew of the spot and we both knew we'd both probably be heading there and that there was only room for 1 boat. So the race started..I had a bigger outboard so i was beating him on open water but he took a risk and went flying through some cypress trees to cut me off.
Dumb frick cut right in front of me and my boat rammed his and the the bow of my boat knocked him out of his boat, then the weight half sunk it. I simply reversed and wished him happy fishing and went on to my spot

Not when it was his fault for cutting in front of me so close I couldn't stop. Like I was wide open and he shot across my bow within 2 feet of my boat.

100% true. it was in a Delta oxbow lake.. we were both in aluminum boats with mine having a 40hp and his having a 25 so it wasn't like it was at a speed faster than 25-30 mph.
The lake has an open channel where a river used to run, and on either side of the channel it is only 5-7 ft deep and spaced out cypress trees. The guy risked hauling arse through the trees hoping not to hit a stump or log to beat me...he came out of nowhere from my left to shoot across the channel to the hole which was in front of me about a quarter mile to the right off in the trees.
He tried to beat out my horsepower by shortcutting through the trees and I guess he never saw me through the trees coming down the channel.

He was ok, he was climbing back into his boat and turned on the bilge to let the water out so I just left him. He was laughing because he knew he had fricked up but his boat was still operable it had just tilted and let in a bunch of water.

Yea that lake was stacked..what was weird is I couldn't catch em hardly anywhere else I had found in that lake. I could catch crappie but not bass except in this one spot where an old drainage ditch ran towards the old river right up underneath a duck blind. You could tie up to the blind and stand on it and cast along the ditch bed and catch one every other cast.

When the white bass were runnin on the Sabine, a buddy and I were tied up on the bank casting out into the channel. This old man and his ole bitch of a wife pull up right next to us and start casting right where we are. We started singing Rodney Carrington songs and cussing like our lives depended on it. The old lady was getting uncomfortable but the old geezer was going to hang around. We eventually started casting at the boat and their lines. They left after the weights actually started hitting the hull of his boat.

One day a few years back in Grand Isle. I was wearing out the trout in the surf in a Hobie kayak anchored down. Live bait on the bottom, every cast was nice trout. This jackass in a 24' Skeeter pulls up 10 feet from me and throws out the anchor. Of course his anchor doesn't catch, which send his bay boat slamming into my yak. He cranks up again and pulls 20' away, same thing, smashes into me again. All my bait washes away, fish basket turns over (i didn't realize until i only had 4 trout left in the basket). He just looks at me shrugs his shoulders. I slung my barrel sinker and empty hook into the side of his boat as hard as i could and paddled away.

Had the boys on some huge drum and bull reds yesterday when next thing you know I had 3 boats on my arse, when it was time to leave let's just say I didn't care about throwing a wake

We call this "saltwater technique". Did not realize it was not allowed. Alternatively, it is named after a friend who does it all the time.
Was fishing on a close-in rig out of Barataria Pass once, tied up on the corner, catching an assortment of fish, when some creoles idled up, made a half circle around us, then tied up within 30' to another part of the rig. Prolly OK when bank fishing, but seemed a bit presumptuous in a boat.
Always funny when a motorboat horns in on you when kayak fishing.
