Wasn't he talked about as having the potential to become one of the elite ones the first few years in the league? While a torn ACL didn't seem to have any effect on Brady, it some how derailed Palamer's career.

For one or two seasons, he was a top 3 quarterback in the league. Then he got injured...

Circumstances affect people differently.

I'm convinced some young QBs wouldn't have been busts if drafted by a better team, while others would have been busts either way. Its unpredictable and unexplainable.

I truly believe Jamarcus Russell would be atleast a backup on some team if he wasn't drafted by the Raiders.

Yeah he looked really good throwing to TJ Houshoumanzada and Chad Johnson. And then came that injury in the playoffs and he was never the same again.

1. Injury
2. He went from surrounded by good receivers to having none

Chad Johnson drama, and Marvin Lewis being a player's coach instead of an enforcer.

There are so many things it could be too. Maybe he lets go of the ball a bit too soon before getting hit, maybe he averts his eyes every 20 plays when he never used to do so in the face of a rush. These little things tally up the handful of incompletions and interceptions/sacks that separate the elite from the also-ran.

Many QBs aren't that "Far off" from being top QBs, but that slight difference matters when compiled over a season.

He's not as good as he thinks he is and complains when the organization who has him realizes it.

Everyone was hating on Eli for what he pulled during the draft, but his dad knows the business.

Bad work ethic is the problem with this idiot. If being a starting quarterback in the NFL can't motivate you enough to work had, sitting behind someone else wasn't gonna get this kid off his arse either.
