Dee won it cause he was the best player on a team that won a state championship last year. No matter what he dis at Arky this year. He avg 20, 7, 5 and 2 his senior year, thats worthy. Besides...how can you look bad whenyou don't play. His best game was against a team thats currently in the final four, would he like more pt and a chance to prove himself sure but that aint too shabby.
Just know we'll have a guy in the running for a 3rd Mr. Basketball in 5 years when the season ends next year.

What were Gathers' numbers?
Also, he didn't play well when he did this year at Arky, was just pointing it out, not saying that's relevant to the high school award.
