It seems awesome. Tomb Raider, Bioshock and Dragon Age all look amazing. I can't imagine graphics looking any better.

This seems like the right place to ask.

I have an older Alienware tower from around 2001/2002. If I were to build new comp, could I reuse it?

Probably a stupid question, but I've never built my own machine.

Nah, thinking about bringing all of y'all to my side.

So, are the cases normally reusable?

I mean you could probably make do and get it to work, but cases are fairly cheap and a nice, new, big, non-dirty, no disassembly required case will make your build experience a lot better

it just depends on what your needs are. I don't know what case you have currently, what size mobos it supports, how easy it is to disassemble, how many 5.25 bays it has, etc. If you find out that it has all the space/features you need and a look you're okay with then go for it. My experience with older prebuilt units is that they are very difficult to disassemble without breaking brackets etc.

If you do decide that you need a new case, there are a lot of options that will let you pretty much customize features vs size vs silence that don't cost an arm and a leg. If you want to discuss a potential ground up build or an overhaul please do so in a different thread.
