I'm 24, should I just stick all my money in a safe?

Considering the events that have occured in Cyprus and the possible run on banks in countries like Spain & Italy why should I ever keep my money in a bank here in the US? With possible talk of raids on 401k accounts would it be smarter to just keep my money in a safe or invest in gold?

Cant tell if you are joking or not but if it came down to the govt seizing our 401ks, there will be an all out war within our own country. An apocolypse type event IMO.
All this talk right now is simply an overreaction to a small poor country having serious problems.

You're better off investing it in tangible assets than letting it lose value sitting in a safe.

At 24 I understand your gullibility but you should not be so paranoid at such a young age.
Don't bet against America. Events like what's happening in Cyprus makes the USA look better to the rest of the world. That's why Europe wants to become the United States of Europe.
