The doctor's quote I read said rose's knee is 100% healed. If he plays now his risk of injury is the exact same as any other player in the league. I don't really care one way or the other but people are giving him a pass bc they like him. If this was Lebron two years ago, or Howard now, or Rondo or Josh Smith, they would be getting raked across the coals.

Say I get a disease and can't go to school/work for a month, that sucks but things like that happen. After a month off I go to a doctor and he says I'm 100% healthy the virus is gone. But i tell my company/school I can't go back yet bc I don't really trust the doctor and I feel like I might still be sick. And this whole time I'm still getting paid my 8 figure salary. Get on the fricking court Rose even if it's 2 minutes a game

Such an awful comparison.

No it's not. It's all in his head there's nothing wrong with his knee anymore.

ETA: Unless you're choosing to not believe the doctor's report. Either bc you believe he's incompetent or you believe he's lying to get Rose on the court quicker. But that's a whole different conversation. Also, guys like Deng and Noah have to be secretly fuming, they've been busting their arse playing 40+ min a night, playing through injuries, so they'd still be in contention when rose got back. And now hes pulling this crap

Okay that comparison was a really bad one but that shite made me laugh. No way Rose is coming back and playing any significant role this season. He might as well sit out. I am taking the long view if Im Rose, Bulls Management, or a fan.

Not really sure what to make of "hamstrings being on fire"...

Does that mean that hes working hard, and the hamstrings hurting a little are normal for that?

Or is their a legit problem with him physically?

I'd think that if hes "cleared medically" that its a conditioning issue...

I mean Bulls doctors can't be that stupid if there is a legit problem with him and allowed him to be cleared.

Rose will come back when he's ready. The hammies are just an excuse. He says he can't dunk jumping off his left foot.

Bill Polian said it's like having a car with suspect brakes. You're cleared to drive the car around, but do you want to race that car at 200 m.p.h?

I think he comes back Monday vs. Denver. Its Chicago's 1st game after the road trip at the UC, and hes reportedly is not ruled out of tomrorow's game at GS, but I think he comes back in a home game.

the only reason Rose is a near MVP level players is his explosiveness. If he lacks that then he isn't ready to return IMO

If I'm a Bulls fans the only thing Rose could be doing right now to piss me off would be not working hard on his rehabilitation. Having had a knee injury myself I know there is a period of time between when the doctor tells you your knee is fine and when it is actually stable enough to use like you are used to using it. Rose is going through that right now and will return. As to all the back seat drivers and radio callers? They can stuff it. Only Adrian Peterson is Adrian Peterson.

he might be physically 100%, but anyone who has suffered this injury knows there is a large mental hurdle to cross. this has ALWAYS been a 12-18 month recovery injury. AD is not the norm. start bitching at the 1 year mark.

Haven't read this entire thread

But they don't have a prayer anyways and an ACL is not the same for everyone. I think he should just heal up and come back next year anyways.

Its amazing he was able to make a commercial for his endorsements MONTHS ago showing himself working out, running, balling, etc now all of a sudden he cant dunk? Yeah right, bitch!

Medically, there is nothing left to heal. He is a head case and practicing would help....at least that is what they are hoping.

So...you're saying he's faking it, he can dunk and he's pretending to not be able to dunk?

he absolutely CAN dunk! If the leg fell off, D Rose could still dunk. Geeez.. Do you understand to be cleared medically the physical strength requirements are back to normal along with flexibility and stability?

The only thing holding Rose from returning is Rose and whats in his head. At this point, there is nothing that will get "stronger" waiting till next year...maybe his will to play or whatever mental block he has.
