I did.

Applications for the upcoming show were due March 15, 2013.

I'm also looking to see if anyone's application has been accepted and what they are doing to train for the show.

500K prize. Yes, 1/2 a million.

No American has ever won.

My 6 yr old is begging me to. I wish we had a parkour gym or something like that around here and I had some time to train at it. I'd love to give it a shot.

Thinking about doing it as a warm-up for the Crossfit Open.

A friend and I built a bouldering wall in his house for training.

Im hoping to just get a shot at the regional.

I had to send in a five minute video, and based on that my application will be accepted or denied.

I think it would be cool just to try out. Only problem is the people who win usually have that obstacle course hand built in the back yard and train everyday for hours.

I forgot last year. So I signed up for this years notification via their website.

I was psyched to complete application and video submission.

I've never watched it thoroughly. Is it usually Japanese who win.

Last post was really a speculation.

Also never said that the American is who wins. Most of the Americans are probably amateur while the people in Japan are worried about heritage so they pay people to only train for this.

again all speculation.

Not trying to be a d$ck but no one has ever won American Ninja Warrior.

Sasuke, the Japanese original, has only had four winners in 28 seasons.

the last stage of the japanese one was ridiculous..didnt you have to scale like a 100ft rope in 20 secs or some crazy shite?

Used to boulder almost five times a week. Also was a wrestler. I was interested to try something like that back then.

Now I'm fat and would die.

The 'G' rope has been the demise of many final contestants.

I'm not sure exactly how long it is, but it's more than 20 meters.

This. Submitted my video and application as well.

I'll say this. I don't know if they're trying to keep this on the down-low or what, but it was hard as balls to navigate their website and find out where/how to apply. The damn website was a jungle nightmare.

Good luck, let me know if they accept you. Which regional would you be trying out in?

Thanks, you too. Ill post in this thread if they accept. Please do the same.

I am out of Baton Rouge so I think they would send me to the Southeast regional which was held in Miami last season.

True. Luckily I navigated my way through the matrix and added my email to the applicant list.

When applications began, they emailed me a link directly to the application.

My short, no upper body strength having arse would be curtains after the very first obstacle.

I love to watch the show though. If any of you all end up in a regional you shouldn't bump this thread/start a new one so we can keep up with you.

Yeah, the course is not female friendly. Who knew girls were so lacking when it comes to upper body strength? It had to be 90% of them that couldn't get past hanging on a barrel for 3 seconds.
