What are you looking for?
Good sandwiches and burgers go to Hudson Grille or Vortex.

That's downtown. I'd check out Empire State South if you're ok with spending around $30-40.

That's up in midtown, which isn't too far, but you can take Marta if you don't want to walk or have to drive and pay for parking. It's about a block from the midtown station on the north/south line, which is close to the world of Coke too.
If you want to stay near there though, it's mostly chains like McCormick and Schmicks. Dantanna's in the CNN center isn't bad and you'd be able to watch bball there. It's a pretty good sports bar, as well as Stats, which is close by.
Another option, if you have the time, would be to take Marta to the Decatur square(maybe a 15 minute ride at most). There are several great lunch spots there - Brickstore(amazing beer selection), Leons(great beer - Brickstore guys own it), 246(Italian), Cakes and Ale(Upscale American/Southern), Siam(Thai), Mac Magees(Pub)

This is a little further out from downtown but if you're in a car it's not too far. Farm Burger, it's a really good burger plus some extras. Nothing really special, but solid burger.

The original is a short walk from the Decatur square.

My brother in law's place - One eared Stag for upscale.
He has another casual place called Holy Taco.
The other bro in law chef has a casual place called bantam and biddy.
I know all three are really, really good.
