I'm an old guy who hardly ever watches SNL any more, but I watched last night. The skit confused me as I had not seen the original Maine Justice in Dec. However, I heard the lady in the audience yell, "Geaux Tigers" and I cracked up. No matter where I go in the world, I ALWAYS find an LSU fan - and of course, there was one who instinctively yelled Geaux Tigers when they Andy Sanberg character mentioned he went to LSU. To top it off with the Who Dat yell just made my day!! Thanks for those who linked to the Dec. episode, so I could get it. Stupid skit, but great publicity for LSU!!

I thought is was comical but as a Louisiana native, born and raise as well as an LSU grad...not sure how that is "good PR" for LSU? That of course you think even bad publicity is good.

SNL certainly has a low opinion of people from Louisiana.

So I guess it's safe to say that you probably are part of the board who genuinely thinks that "ESPN hates LSU."

NO, but I have spent a lot of time with North easterners and New Yorkers in general and believe me that is exactly how they few the majority of the people from Louisana.

I figured it was a take on Cajun Justice. Never seen the show though. Loved the skit

Always been a fan of SNL and we have a friend that does hair and wigs on the show. I will find out if there are any LSU connection with writers and get back to TD Rant.

One of their head makeup and costume people was born in Gonzales, LA. She loves this sketch because of how she sees Louisiana depicted in "reality" TV shows. The whole sketch is a takeoff, and a pretty smart one at that, of Louisiana stereotypes shown on television through shows like "Swamp People", "Cajun Pawn", "Duck Dynasty", "Sons of Guns", "Bayou Billionaires", ect and how so many movies and tv shows are now filmed in Louisiana (thanks o our film tax credits) regardless of where their set.

Big difference between being one of the sketch writers and the person applying eye shadow.

I was just saying that she thinks the sketch is funny. I think I remember her mentioning that one of the writers is from down here as well. I talked to her during the holidays as her dad lives across the bayou from me.

Look at all the retarded "reality" shows that are based in LA. That's the image of LA that is being put out there. SNL making fun of it like that was pretty funny IMO.
