Lilette has a pop-up starting in mid-March.
Italian food, w/wine pairings, $60.

Sounds interesting.

This one is interesting.

I find the pop-up scene one of the best ways to explore cuisines. You also gain access to the chefs that allows you to really judge their skill and creatity.

R2R, you can only have scallops or short ribs at LPG or Coquette so many times.

LPG on Saturday was excellent as always. FYI.
Told them to give me the R2R special and they knew exactly what I wanted.

I think a chef from Houma is doing a pop up at Martinique bistro once a week.

He is, Cristiano's. It's been mentioned here before. Still haven't tried it or heard a review.

I'm with you here.

first of all.. scallops are YOUR thing. you know my feelings on them.

secondly, the short rib app at LPG is a thing of beauty. it should be consumed as much as possible.

Whew. Thank god you didn't do something stupid like order a chocolate dessert or some such nonsense. Glad y'all had a good time. I haven't dined out much lately. Need to rebound from my recent 4-month rampage.

They had a different prep. then the last time I tried them. It was done with an Asian flare with kimchi as opposed to the usual slow braise with a decadent sauce. Glad they are tinkering to keep things fresh.

Yeah they switch it up, which is cool. The root beer braise w/ pickled onions is my favorite preparation of it. One time they served it was citrus and in lettuce wraps .. didn't care for that one. The asian interpretation sounds good.
