Goign with a buddy to the horse races Friday night for Starlight Racing. We're going to have a little time to kill before racing starts. Any suggestions for a place nearby that has a good selection of beers and whiskeys?

Not really close, but if you are going to go near the city park area on the way end. the bar at Ralph's on the Park is pretty good.

Toups meatery would be a good place to drink and eat some small plates.

I guess they started whacking weenie threads for the $10 hot dog controversy.

OP, I've always wondered about that place across the street from the entrance. Never been though.

Seahorse? Great place if you want to get insight from the railbirds before heading to the track.

Owner is a real good guy.
