Vegans don't necessarily creep me out; I just know I couldn't live without milk/cheese. I could do without meat but not without dairy.
Pescatarian would be more my style.
I think I'll just stay they way I am and eat meat when I want it.. And avoid it when I don't. I'm not the type that eats meat every meal, or even every day.

All hating carnivores that are about to respond...before you do...look down at your belly....does it stretch over your belt/waste? If so hush it you fatso.
Matter of fact if you:
are overweight
Have bloating
Heartburn
teeth bleeding from brushing or flossing
bad skin
low energy/endurance
inefficient bathroom trips
you might want to try a month with a Vegan diet.
You, sir, are an idiot. Not because you partake in a Vegan diet, but because you try to steer away from trolls by trolling.

My wife is a vegan. I get all her baked sweets from Truly Free Bakery on Perkins in Southdowns. They have a deli too which she says is good.
I will be a carnivore til the day I die though.
Check out my thread from when we went to Atlanta a few weeks ago. We went to some spots that were vegan friendly.

Now that I think about it, I haven't eaten meat in 2 or 3 days. But dairy would be the killer for me. I love yogurt, cheese, etc

Where are the Vegans at on this board and where do you go eat?
Good luck finding anything around here that you don't have to manipulate the menu. There is a great Vegetarian Cafe on Jefferson called MJ's Cafe. It will please someone who is not Vegan too because they have seafood. I usually make my food at home but if I do go out it's usually for a veggie burger, greek, thai, veggie sushi, etc. Nothing too fancy.

PS....
You're making us vegans look bad. You being a former omnivore, (referring to your prime rib poboy reference at Sammy's) try having more understanding that not everyone is ready to jump into a new diet that they have never tried or been comfortable with or just aren't educated about. If you are worried about people jumping down your throat then don't say anything unless asked. Everyone was nice to me on the Paleo thread. It's just how you approach the conversation. Try throwing in some facts instead of jabs. Just some friendly advice.

Try out Truly Free. I like it. They have all organic foods and meats too for the carnivores.
My gf is vegan...well vegetarian since she met me and she loves it.

You were the perfect example of how to handle the topic of eating vegan among people who do not want to eat vegan.
The problem with the OP is that he lashed out as if he's on the OT, but this is the F&D board.. people are going to jump on you for eating Red Lobster or microwaving a steak.. not eating vegan

veggie moo shu at Dim Sum. I will be having this Saturday.
I also eat eggplant parm at many restaurants.
I am not truly vegan. I just don't care for meat.
Sammy's has a steamed veggie/baked potato plate.
Cafe Phoenicia and El Rancho in Denham Springs both have veggie menus so I am thinking you can probably find them other places.
