What combine you were watching because on NFL Network Deion was drooling all over PP7. When PP7 ran that 4.3 40 time Deion was in love with PP7. Deion was even giving him tips about playing safety when his weight might be a problem.

I watched that special on Peterson when he first met Deion. Prime said, "in 2 years this guy will be the best in the league". This is when they first met!

Deion was definitely not afraid to say how good Peterson was and is.

PP7 does not hit like a linebacker

Sanders couldn't cover PP7, and PP7 can hit like a linebacker. Sanders mouth carried him further than his on the field talent did. Probably gave up as many long TD's as he made, because he was out for one person.

If you think this, then there is no way you actually watched him play.

Dude would deliberately let a guy look open deep, QB would throw it, Primetime would speed up and pick it off. He did this in Atlanta, SF, Dallas, Baltimore at age 37.

He led the MLB in triples and stolen bases. He has Super Bowl ring and world series. Only person to hit a HR and score a TD in the same WEEK!

ETA: And he led the Cowboys to the playoffs at CB an WR when Irvin got hurt. PP7 would be lucky to cover Neon Deion.

Link?

Holliday returned kicks prior to Peterson, and he was one hell of a return man. See the Ole Miss game for evidence.

Was talking to a former Tiger WR who was on the team with PP7 & I asked him what made PP7 so great. His immediate answer was "he's as strong as a bull, but a very fast bull". Commented that he could throw you completely out of your route by a quick shove of one hand. Said he knows PP7 has been helping TM a lot in Fla. As for Sanders, he is probably the best cover CB ever, but he couldn't/wouldn't tackle anyone, and that comment has been attributed to more than one NFL analyst over the yrs.

Deion Sanders doesn't "work out". He stands there and runs his mouth.

It's crazy to look at this picture and notice the evolution of athletes

Deion was a complete athletic freak when he played, much like PP7, but look how much bigger PP7 is than Deion, guys just keep getting bigger and bigger

JMO, but with Peterson's size and speed, I think he could have made a helluva tailback. He's definitely at the right position though.

This. You can't be the best ever if you can't/won't tackle. He was the man no doubt, and one of the best ever.
