I haven't been paying much attention to other SEC teams. I'm usually working when all the games happen.

Who are the other possible candidates? Just a guess but I'd say he's one of the top candidates.

I guess Andy Kennedy and Donovan would be up there.

Is this a radio call-in show? Because I'd like to say "Hi Mom!"

But seriously, he may get a few votes, but doubt he can win without making the NCAAs.

I asked this same question in a thread about 2 weeks ago. Most of the answers I got were simply no. I disagree, I think he should be highly considered for COY simply based on what he stepped into when he took this job. This team has been competitive in every single game except for Florida, which is understandable. They also play with a lot of desire and heart and they simply never give up.

When all is said and done, this team will finish with 1-2 more conference wins than last year's team--and they played 2 more conference games. They're 8th in a conference of 14 teams. So...NO.

Billy Donovan has reached a point where he is the coach of the year EVERY year. Calipari is showing that he is a good but not great coach now that he didn't bring in a superhuman freshman class.

So was Trent. At least in the first and last years. Jeez, you people act like we were last year what Mississippi State is this year. I know a lot of people left, but JOB, Hickey, Stringer, and ADP area good enough nucleus to be a .500 team in this conference with a serviceable coach.

And I am not being a so-called Negatiger. You can't give him coach of the year because we're optimistic about next year.
