Has there ever been another player recruited by LSU that is expected to be as much a sure thing (stud, All American...ect.) as Fournette. We realistically didn't take a RB in 2 classes and are all over this kid.

Only other I can think of was PP7, they were pretty confident in him, maybe Faulk too.

Thoughts?

posts like this need to go in the LF discussion thread, no need to start a new thread to ask this question IMO

Maybe you should change your title to better reflect what you mean. "Fournette-Can't miss prospect?" Your title as written implies he's a lock to LSU, and that's assuming a lot at this point.

It's a sure thing grown men will compare his calf size to Keiland Williams's. But he's given no indication he's a "lock" for anywhere.

I'm thinking its the first. Don't know if anybody would think of him as an all-time "sure thing" LSU locks when there are already committed players in his class and he isn't one of them.

And really, it's a good question. He's certainly considered the most sure thing of any player they've recruited since probably Peterson, I'd think...am I missing one?

The one thing is, RBs are notoriously prone to injury and that can change things drastically. Look at Lattimore.

I'd say Clowney was more of a "can't-miss" because DLs don't break down quite as often as RBs.

If he stays healthy, it's as sure as that the sun is gonna shine.

If you're talking about possible star, speaking of out of high school and not what actually translated into the pros, but I think JaMarcus would have an argument here as well?

You need to edit your title to dfferentiate whether you mean sure thing to LSU or sure thing to be a star player. If you mean the former, then I say no, but it's looking good. If you mean the latter, then I say yes barring injury.
