What is the best SNES emulator?

Anyone want to link me to a legit SNES emulator that won't take me to a website that will tear my computer apart. 
Bonus points for someone that can link me a solid list of ROMs for it (looking for Final Fantasy VI particularly).

For some reason none of my selected controls are working on ZNES. I'm stuck at the start screen. The pause button will work and the button to speed up the game works, but that's about it.
Looks like only Final Fantasy VI is not responding to any controls. LTTP is running fine.
ETA: I downloaded a new ROM for Final Fantasy from a different site and it's working. I think the ROM they have on the site you linked me is broken.

Download both, there are certain games that will perform better on certain ones.
Example, I forget whether it was ZSNES or SNES9x, but one of them Super Mario RPG freezes up on the equip screen.

zsnes and the NES emulator probably caused at least a .5 drop in my college GPA, and probably a few in the row behind me

if youre going to be playing turn based RPGs, make sure you get an emulator with a "fast forward" to speed through the easy fights and for leveling. Will save you hours of time on games like FF and Chrono Trigger.
