Yeah, I meant those guys had proved on the field coming out of college that they could play. I'm not against taking someone based on potential, I just feel this specific guy isn't worth that pick when so many other guys could be had in the later rounds that probably fit better for what the Saints need. Jordan doesn't seem like that pure pass rusher everyone wants.

I remember the media talking about Bruce Irvin being a reach. The thing is, he was a legit pass rusher in college. He racked up 22 sacks in his final 2 years, and he is looking like he will be in the pro's exactly what he was in college. He is proving he is talented at getting to the qb.

maybe read some more scouting reports on him. You might have missed some of these.

Again, in the Graham-JPP potential kinda way...

the guy didn't ever play defense until three years ago and now he is a 1st Rd given (whether higher or lower than #15). THAT sez a lot similar to Graham's one year of balling. Not just any old draft nerds either. He's seen that way from some of the most respected scouts and football guys.

I myself would rather trade down into the first while picking up an early-mid 2nd rd pick. Take Xavier Rhodes (CB, FSU) in the 1st. And OT in 2nd. With doing that, look into FA for Pass rush help (Kruger).
