That is pretty cool. I dunno about ordering one but I may try to make one.

As far as the CF goes, I can understand it to try and hit an attractive price point.

Any who is a hardcore gamer knows you have to replace your mousepad usually once or twice a year just from usage. What am I going to do with that? Replace the whole "carbon fiber like" desktoop? I may work some of those built in USB ports and headphone jacks into my desk though, pretty legit idea.

Anyone remember those gaming chairs that were the rage a few years back? Had the speakers built into them? Ah gaming accessories.

I really like it tbh

I'd think about buying one if it had better monitor support. I'd like to see DVI on there.

I'm also curious if connecting monitors through a desk like that would have any impact on input lag.

Does the tower tray just hang by 4 cables ? I don't think I would like that. You bump it and it swings back and forth.

Looks nifty, but a bit too minimalistic for me. Current desk has a lot more space and some drawers on one side for storage.

Good idea, but I don't see it being useful for enthusiast gamers. Too small of a desk for multimonitor setups, full towers won't fit on the desk, no usb 3.0 (not too big of a deal to me) and no storage space.

It needs to be bigger, have outlet strips under the desk and on top, multimonitor support, maybe lower side shelf for full towers, and some video inputs on the desk to minimize cables

This.

And the fact that they intend to retail this desk at $589 is laughable...and so is this below

quote:

BONUS
$110,000 funding
If we reach $100,000 in funding, we will upgrade the legs on the desk to be adjustable. It will help if your floors are not level.

Because everyone knows a gamer loves to set up his PC on an incline...or in a stairwell...

And adding the headphone rack to a $150k milestone...

Seems like a waste to invest in and a waste to buy if it ever gets funded/produced.
