Sid had that signature booming deep voice. Borne is higher pitched and somewhat annoying. But we're all used to it and he's all the younger generation knows so to them he's the 'traditional' voice of the tigers and that's alright.

Dan is from the Thibodaux area, and when he was at NSU, his last name was pronounced "Barn". When he got the big lobbying job with the chemical industry, the French pronunciation .."BornE" took over. JF was good, but when he started to fade, he really faded fast. On the air. JH, for all he does for LSU, all 3 major sports, running the entire broadcasting dept at LSU, I can take his mistakes, to a point. Curious as to who is in the pipeline to take his place.
